According to the Innovation Union Scoreboard 2015, Malta registered the greatest improvement in the research and innovation sector and is catching up fast with other EU countries. The country is currently a moderate innovator, but due to research and innovation development programs and incentives, more and more investors and Maltese companies are considering setting up companies in this sector.
